The WHITETAIL ALMANAC serves as a detailed resource for predicting the daily feeding and travel patterns of white-tailed deer. This tool meticulously outlines anticipated major feeding periods and optimal hunting locations during these times. The calendar indicates "Green Days," suggesting prime stand placements along travel routes or near food supplies, while "Red Days" recommend hunting in or around resting areas of the deer.

Developed through a combination of Computerized Radio Telemetry Studies, independent research, and personal observations since its inception in 1997, the WHITETAIL ALMANAC has been a reliable guide for hunters for over 25 years. It is important to note that significant weather changes, hunting pressure, and the rut can impact the effectiveness of this resource by approximately 30 percent. However, targeting Green Days is likely to enhance deer sighting opportunities.

Hunting Locations:

 <li>Resting Place: Typically characterized by thick cover where whitetails rest, digest food, and evade predators.</li>
 <li>Travel Route: A network of trails connecting resting and feeding areas.</li>
 <li>Food Supply: Areas frequented by whitetails for nutritional sustenance.</li>

Feeding Locations:

 <li>Large Food Supply: At various times during the hunting season, does, yearlings, and smaller bucks frequent these areas; mature bucks tend to feed at night. All deer will return to these spots in the off-season if planted with preferred food supplies.</li>
 <li>Small Food Supply: As hunting season commences, these areas become more suitable as bucks grow wary of larger open formats, requiring access to safe cover.</li>
 <li>Natural Foods: Acorns, particularly from white oaks, are a primary food source for whitetails. Hunting should be prioritized immediately as acorns begin to drop.</li>
